You are right that a moving map isn’t supported, however it will be possible to add a still map image behind your track. Looking forward to try it on my next flight.īy the way, if your video needs more processing after you’ve added the gauges, a trick is to use a Blue background behind the gauges and then Chroma Key the blue in your video editor app replacing it with the processed video. I’ve played around a bit using data logged on my iPhone through their TrackAddict app (which is also free), logging lat/long, speed, heading, G-force multi-axis, elevation etc. I am thinking of a movie in which the video frame has a section down (say) the RHS in which various textual data is displayed, and this data comes from a text file which is in (say) CSV format, with the first column being the date/time. Dashware seems no longer supported and video did not work on Windows 10. I found a much better product since called RaceRender. One of their video’s is from a guy in a Wingsuit, so the data must come from simple sources. I do not want to pay the Pro price as I do not earn my living from it. By that I mean something that gets beyond the crap of consumer level, but is not as expensive as the Pro products. I have come to the conclusion that there is no semi-pro video editing software. I’ve used Pinnacle (buggy crap), Adobe Premiere Elements (less buggy crap)ġ00% agree. Then you can add titles later, in a separate project. Why don’t you work with intermediates then? First create the finished video, export it in a high quality MP4 format, or even lossless if you like (if you have enough HD space). Otherwise the subtitles will get distorted However, there is a subtle issue because one needs to do stuff in a specific orderġ) colour etc correction and lens correction and rotation
